Poetry is my first love, but I do create objects combined with images.
My favorite pieces are the collaborative works
that my husband, Tom Dowling, and I create together.

You can see more of the exhibition images here.
From: The Bird Show, Grand Central Art Center
This was a group show that had a loose directive to interpret an assigned local bird. Shown here is a detail from Tom's piece and below are images of the manipulated Japanese Haori I created.
From: New, Used, Borrowed, Guggenheim Gallery
Start with 9 artists and their original works (“New”), ask them to show an artist from their own collection (“Used”), then ask them to invite an artist they admire (“Borrowed”). What you end up with is an eclectic collection of over 35 artists in the Chapman University show “New, Used, Borrowed”.
From Narrative, Coastline Gallery
These plank books sprang from an idea that I first explored with Tom Dowling in the Reconcilable Differences show in 2005. Here I integrated my photographs on the covers and poem excerpts for the interiors. The "books" are bound with antique hardware and bronze fittings.
Stock \ California Show 2014
A books, paper and collage show at Coastline College Gallery. More plank books and altar pieces. Experimenting with "books" of unusual materials. New "orphan poem" series is put into play.
